This tool allows to create openings inside acceptable types of LSS Arch objects.
Acceptable types of objects are:
walls
slabs
slopes of 'slab' sub-type
- open tool dialog
- (optional) choose opening shape
- (optional) adjust opening's settings: width, height, materials etc
- click "cut..." command button at the top of the dialog
- move cursor over acceptable object in an active model
- (optional) use <Shift> to lock 'host' object, where an opening should be placed
- click at appropriate place to cut an opening
Basic modes:
'Default' mode is for selecting existing opening objects. It is possible to reshape and re-adjust properties of selected opening.
'Cut Opening' mode allows to cut an opening inside acceptable type of object.
'Draw Contour' mode allows to draw a contour of an opening vertex-by-vertex.
'Pick Face' mode is for picking any face, that represents a contour of a opening, instead of drawing a contour vertex-by-vertex.
'Pick Curve' mode is for picking any curve, that represents a contour of a opening, instead of drawing a contour vertex-by-vertex.
- Enter = cut opening at pointer's position in 'cut opening' mode
- F5 = refresh 'host' object under cursor (rebuild arch objct in case if it's highlighed by red color)
- Shift = lock 'host' object, in which opening should be cut (useful when opening's insertion/anchor point is located exactly on a boundary between two objects)
