It is possible to modify created 'arch' objects using SketchUp's native tools, such as 'Move', 'Rotate', 'Scale'. The point is that in case of any
manual modification of an 'arch' object itself or of its contents (especially after scaling) so-called 'Reporting' or measured properties (attributes)
of an 'arch' object become untrue. In order to refresh auto-calculated attributes it is necessary to rebuild modified 'arch' object. In case of
scaling 'Rebuild' command restores shape of scaled 'arch' object according to its geometrical parameters so result of scaling becomes equal to
scaling of a contour of an 'arch' object only.
The command can be applied to a set of selected 'arch' objects at once, i.e. it may work in a batch manner.
- select modified 'arch' object(s) using SketchUp's 'Select' tool
-
click
command button of 'LSS Arch' toolbar or choose 'Rebuild' command from
Main Menu>>Plugins>>LSS Arch
- (optional) right-click at modified 'arch' object to pop-up SketchUp's context menu and select 'Rebuild' command from 'LSS Arch' sub-menu
It is highly recommended to rebuild 'arch' objects, which were created by copying of other previously created 'arch' objects using SketchUp's
move tool for example. Especially it is necessary to rebuild objects, which contain openings in order to refresh some internal attributes.
There is no need to rebuild copies, which were made using direct manipulation provided by LSS Arch itself, since extension's own copying
logic works as creation of a new object from scratch (not just copying of existing group of faces).
